Abstract

Nowadays it is said to the science which is responsible for explanation of living affairs, Economics that has been translated into "eghtesad" in Persian. Economics rooted in the "house managing" that the former Islamic scholars have treatise on the subject. This paper, by corresponding the relationship between "Economics" and "household management", begins to compare attitude of former Islamic scholars with what is presented as economics to be determined differences and similarities. This paper which uses library in terms of gathering information and which is analytical and descriptive in terms of explaining the differences and similarities, concludes that there is no sign from self purification and religious teachings accomplishment in economics, even in some cases it appear in contrast of them. Just in scope of thrift, "house managing" presented by the former Islamic scholars and "house managing" presented in economics may be in the same direction. "eghtesad" not in synonym of economy but in synonym of moderation, is assumed as a principle of "House Managing" that the religious literature is so.
