Abstract
The present study regarding the serious struggle of religion with the phenomenon of poverty and the importance of an intergenerational transmission of poverty and its close relationship with increasing poverty level, has investigated the transmission among households coverd by Abdanan relief comittee(as a group of poor family). The research method was descriptive-analytic in the time period of 1393. The required information is collected through library resources and the combination of both fieldwork and Delphi methods. Depending upon research findings, the lower the income of parents, the more likely the children to grow poorer. Also, the lower the level of parents' literacy and the number of their children, the more poverty among their children will be. Children's high level of education was associated with their high income. Being woman as the guardian o family increases the possibility of a poor child. 79 percent of respondents in the Delphi method believed that government policies have increased the probability of reproduction of poverty.
