Purpose: Good governance is defined as the processes and structures that guide political, social, and economic relations with respect to commitment to values, norms, and democratic practices, trustworthy services, and honesty. The purpose of this study was the role of economic development and its implications for good governance. Method: This research has been done using descriptive-analytical method. In this method, by theoretical study, we have sought to analyze and describe the concepts and thematic variables of the research. Findings: Good governance has a solution to most of the problems of governments such as corruption, increasing military spending and the inefficiency of the executive and judicial structures, which is very valuable for governments, but governments with closed structures and inflexible systems. They are governed and fear global interdependence, unable to enjoy the benefits that good governance programs provide to governments. Conclusion: The results showed that the development of international relations by increasing the assistance of international institutions and organizations in various fields and receiving foreign loans to develop infrastructure and reduce risk and create security to attract capital. Foreign direct investment and increase in GDP through investment growth and the qualitative and quantitative expansion of civil society institutions involving the public and private sectors, and the reduction of military and administrative costs resulting from the reform of laws and structures; The attitude of the rulers provides the basis for good governance.
