The intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainable marketing of organic products has received limited scholarly attention, particularly in developing countries. This study aims to propose a model for the role of AI in sustainable marketing of organic products in Iraq using a qualitative grounded theory approach. The research population consisted of 15 managers and experts from organic product production and packaging companies, as well as marketing management academics experienced in organic product marketing in Iraq. Participants were selected through snowball sampling and interviewed in depth. Hidden content analysis of the textual data was conducted using MAXQDA 2020.The findings revealed several key components: causal conditions (personalized marketing, consumer education, trust-building, inventory management, logistics efficiency, and supplier coordination); contextual conditions (brand authenticity, green certifications, and storytelling); and intervening conditions (risk detection, automated responses, and reputation recovery). The core phenomenon—AI’s role in sustainable marketing of organic agricultural products—was reflected in visual, written, and interactive content. The study emphasizes that realizing the core phenomenon requires strategies focused on consumer trends, pricing, and campaign effectiveness, leading to outcomes such as positive environmental impacts, social influence, and transparent reporting. The study recommends that managers and policymakers in Iraq’s organic production and packaging sector leverage AI-driven analytics to monitor shifting consumer preferences toward organic products in the post-war economy and maintain personalized communication with their customers.
