Abstract: (20 Views)
Workplace stress is a common phenomenon worldwide. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of stress management skills training on reducing perceived stress in bankers. The present study was conducted in a quasi-experimental design of pre-test-post-test with a control group. The statistical population of this study consisted of all employees of a private bank in the country who were working in one of the branches of this bank. Among the employees, 36 employees working in the bank branches were selected and randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups. The training course for the experimental group was held for 18 hours, over three consecutive days. Cohen's Perceived Stress Scale was used to collect data. The data were analyzed using Student's t-test and analysis of covariance in SPSS software. The results showed that after controlling for the effects of the pre-test, there was a significant difference between the post-test means of the two experimental and control groups in the variable of perceived stress. Stress management skills training is effective in reducing the perceived stress of bankers.
