Banks compete with each other in attracting deposits and continuing productive banking operations. Now we need to see what components are important for an individual in choosing a bank. In this study, considering the expansion of electronic banking and the bank merger approach, it seeks to rank banking departments based on the efficiency and productivity of banks. Therefore, the first challenge for calculating efficiency and productivity in ranking branches based on these two approaches is to explain the criteria for determining departments and branch supervisors. It is worth noting that various studies have been conducted in the field of efficiency and productivity of banks with different criteria; but not much research has been done in the banking system regarding the explanation of efficiency and productivity with the two approaches of modern banking and branch merger; Therefore, the first goal of this study is to explain the criteria for ranking departments and branch supervisors in banking with the two approaches of modern banking and branch merger, which also uses questionnaires and the opinions of banking experts. In the continuation of this study, it seeks to rank departments and supervisors based on these approaches. Based on the results of the data envelopment analysis method and the calculation of the Malmquist productivity index, efficiency changes due to technological change were negative in the early years but increased in 2020 and 2021. Total factor productivity decreased from 2020 to 2021 and had a downward trend, with a growth trend in 2021.
