Abstract:   (105 Views)
In recent years, the contribution of new electronic payment tools in reducing the volume of paper money has been significant, in such a way that electronic payment methods have challenged the use of cash and transformed traditional banking and interbank processes and procedures. As one of the main pillars of economic development, electronic banking plays an important role in facilitating access to financial services and improving the efficiency of the banking system. Assessing the status of electronic banking in the provinces can help identify challenges and opportunities in this area and improve policymaking. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the electronic banking index in the provinces of the country, for this purpose, two indices "Shaperak" and "electronic payment" were examined by PCA (principal component analysis), then the importance of each was measured and the index was convert electronic banking; Also, by comparing and ranking the 31 provinces of Iran, determine the position of each province in the innovative ranking of electronic banking in the time range of 2012 to 2022. In the following, by using clustering, the provinces are divided into three developed groups (suitable, almost suitable and unsuitable), which is based on the number of nodes and the distance of the central provinces of Iran. The results of the research show that the Shaperak factor alone covers 21.99% of the variance and has the most impact among the two effective factors. It can also be concluded that the provinces of Tehran and Isfahan are ranked first and second respectively, and the provinces of South and North Khorasan respectively have the last index rank.
