Abstract:   (4 Views)
With the emergence of the digital transformation paradigm, organizations have found themselves on the verge of fundamental changes in their structures, processes, and governance models. This research aims to analyze the probable paths facing organizations in the era of digital transformation and to identify the key drivers influencing their future, in order to draw a roadmap for intelligently confronting the uncertainties ahead. This study is applied in terms of purpose and employs a futurological approach. For data collection, brainstorming sessions and participatory workshops were used with experts in the fields of management and information technology who were purposefully selected. The main research strategy is based on the scenario planning method (based on the uncertainty matrix). In this regard, the extracted drivers were ranked according to two indicators—"level of impact" and "level of uncertainty"—and ultimately two key variables, "level of regulation" and "rate of technology adoption," were selected as the main axes for forming the scenario matrix. Data analysis led to the development of four distinct scenarios for the future of organizations in the era of digital transformation: 1) The Golden Cage (strict regulatory governance accompanied by slow technology adoption), 2) Smart Collaboration (balance between legal oversight and rapid adoption of digital tools), 3) Digital Chaos (lack of legal frameworks alongside weak and fragmented adoption), and 4) The Paradise of Innovation (an environment with minimal regulations and a high pace of digital transformation). Each of these scenarios outlines different challenges and opportunities for organizational managers and policymakers.
