Abstract:   (4 Views)
This research was conducted with the aim of designing and presenting a comprehensive model for improving the financial performance of companies based on the digital transformation of finance. This research was of a mixed type (qualitative-quantitative) with an exploratory approach. In the qualitative part, using the Strauss and Corbin data-based theory method and conducting 18 in-depth interviews with experts in the fields of finance, accounting, auditing, and information technology, the data were analyzed in three stages of open, axial, and selective coding. In the quantitative part, data related to 400 companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange during the period 1398-1403 were collected and analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) with the partial least squares (PLS) approach. Qualitative findings led to the identification of four main dimensions of digital financial transformation: 1) technological dimension (including technologies such as process robotics, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, blockchain, and big data), 2) process dimension (including real-time reporting, systems integration, dynamic budgeting, and transforming the financial unit from backward to forward), 3) organizational culture dimension (including trust in data, continuous learning, and cross-departmental collaboration), and 4) business model dimension (including creating new revenue streams, personalized financial services, and embedded finance). Six outcome categories were also identified, including increasing efficiency and reducing costs, improving strategic decision-making, enhancing stakeholder experience, complying with digital regulations, reducing information asymmetry, and strengthening financial resilience. Quantitative analysis showed that digital financial transformation has a significant impact on improving the financial performance of companies, and this relationship is strengthened through mechanisms of reducing operating costs, increasing the speed and accuracy of reporting, improving risk management, and facilitating access to financial resources. Also, the findings indicated that intervening factors such as leadership support, the level of digital maturity of the organization, and the quality of IT infrastructure play an important moderating role in the relationship between financial digital transformation and financial performance.
